There is a change in the Area 3 prayer meeting. The prayer meeting scheduled for May 12, 2019 has been postponed to May 19, 2019 at 4:00pm at the residence Philip Chacko (Sunny & Mariamma), 56 Whispering Willow Pathway, Scarborough, ON, M1B 4B3

Sunday school Announcement: Regular Sunday school classes will continue to take place until the first week of June.
The Sunday School Talent show competition will take place on Saturday May 25, 2019 from 9 am until 2 pm. The Memory Verse competition will take place in their respective Sunday School classes on May 4, May 12 or May 19. Registration forms should be handed in today, May 5, 2019. Youth Fellowship Announcement:
1. Notice of General Body: There will be a Youth Fellowship General Body meeting on May 5th shortly after the Holy Communion service to transact the following agenda: a. Election of the 2020 Regional Youth Conference Committee b. AOB with permission of the chair.
2. Tree Planting Initiative: The Youth fellowship is organizing a tree planting initiative for all interested members of the church, on May 11th, 2019 from 9:30am-1pm at Bendor and Graves Tract, Sharon. Please give your names to Riya Thomas or Brianna Varghese. More details are to follow in the coming week!
Edavaka Mission Announcement: Edavaka mission Bible Study meeting will resume on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the church at 7:30 pm. Answers to the Bible Trivia for the month of April is posted on the website. Thank you to all who have participated in the Bible Trivia. Winners will be announced by the Vicar. The questions for the Bible Trivia/Quiz for the month of May will be posted today, May 5 and the answers for the same should be handed in, on Sunday, May 26, 2019 to the Vicar or the Edavaka Mission Secretary.
CSI Annual Gospel Convention:
Received a letter from the CSI Church Toronto, 1315 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, ON M9B 3N7. “Awake, O sleeper and arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you” – Ephesians 5:14 Beloved in the Lord: The Toronto CSI Church is pleased to announce its annual convention in conjunction with its 33rd Founders’ day which is to be held on May 10, 11, and12, 2019. Rev. Joby Joy Mullackal who is the vicar of CSI Church, New Jersey and the former chaplain of the CSI Moderator will be delivering the Word for this occasion. Please note, convention time for May 10 & 11 is 7 pm and on May 12, the convention will start at 10 am. We request your sincere prayers and presence for the convention. Spring Cleaning Announcement: Our scheduled spring cleaning will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2019 after the Holy Communion Service. We need your assistance. Please stay back to help us keep the church and its surroundings clean. Food will be provided to all volunteers. You will receive more detailed information from Rony Varghese and Lijo Mathai, Spring Cleaning Coordinators.
Doors Open Whitchurch-Stouffville is celebrating 15 years this year on Saturday, June 1, 2019 (10am – 4pm) organized by the Doors Open W-S Organizing Committee & the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre. Theme for this year is “Communications”. Our church is one of the 15 sites participating in this event. Members, especially youths who are interested to volunteer at this event, is encouraged to give your names to the Secretary, Sunita Alexander on or before Sunday, May 12, 2019. Volunteer hours will be awarded.
Malayalam Classes will be held in the basement, every Sunday, unless announced otherwise. If you are interested & wish to sign up for Malayalam Class, please contact Dr. Bapu Cherian. Registration forms are available in the foyer. This is open to ALL AGE GROUPS including youths and adults.
Obituary: It is deep sadness that we inform the passing away of Gracy Jacob, 72 years, mother of our member, Johnson Jacob (Johnson & Mary) in Kerala, India on April 29, 2019. The funeral service was held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11 am at the Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Puthoor, Kollam, Kottarakara. Johnson is in India. Please continue to uphold the family in our prayers.
