The Canadian Mar Thoma Church Toronto is excited to unveil our new Neighborhood Mission, “5 LOAVES & 2 COATS”, a heartfelt initiative rooted in the teachings and compassion of Jesus Christ on Holy Saturday, 30 March 2024.

We aim to share our resources and blessings with those in need. Whether it is providing nourishment for the body or the soul, our mission is to extend a helping hand and make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors. We are also committed to addressing the basic needs of warmth and protection. And, strive to create a community where no one is left without essential care and support.

The Neighborhood Mission of The Canadian Mar Thoma Church Toronto operates as a food bank with the primary aim of serving the needy in the community. It is important to note that our mission is not intended to compete with or overshadow the efforts of other similar endeavours in the vicinity. We strive to complement existing services and collaborate with other organizations for the betterment of the community.

Furthermore, the selection of operating days, specifically the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month, has been purposefully chosen to ensure that our activities do not clash or coincide with other similar initiatives in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. This decision was made in the spirit of cooperation and respect for the valuable work being done by other organizations in the area.

We are committed to working harmoniously with our fellow community members and organizations to collectively support those in need. Our goal is to enhance the overall welfare of the community through collaboration and mutual respect.
