Dear all Edavaka mission members,
The Annual General Body meeting of The Canadian Mar Thoma Church Toronto Edavaka Mission will be held today, March 12 2023 immediately after the Holy Communion Service at 159 Sandiford drive Stouffville , ON, L4A 0Y2 to transact the following agenda.
1)Present and approve Annual report for the year 2022.
2) Present and approve audited Annual account for the year 2022
3) Present and approve budget for the year 2023
4) AOB with the permission the Chair
Vicar Rev Roji Mathews Abraham will preside over this meeting.
All Edavaka Mission members are requested to attend this meeting prayerfully.

7. Area Prayer Meeting
An AREA 3 PRAYER MEETING will be held today at 3:30 pm at the residence of Mr. Mathew C. Samuel and Mrs. Icy Samuel.
Area 3 prayer group representative will be elected in this meeting.

8. Today is the last day to submit your names for writing the 2023 Diocesan Exam. Please note that the exam will take place on May 21st, 2023. As announced previously, the Regional Youth Conference will also be taking place over this weekend. Therefore, we request students and parents to please confirm whether they are writing the exam, by submitting the exam registration fee of $10. From Joel Thomson, Sunday School Secretary.
9. Youth Fellowship Announcement
The Youth Fellowship is hosting a Games and Paint Night, their first fundraiser event for 2023 Regional Youth Conference next Saturday, March 18th at 5 pm. This event is open to all members of the church. You are welcome to bring a friend along as well. The night is planned to be filled with plenty of games, and painting activities for all ages. Those who are interested in attending, can scan the QR code on the posters posted outside the sanctuary to register.

1. Fasting prayer meeting -online via Google meet on Wednesday, March 15th at 10:30 am.
2. Edavaka Mission prayer meeting held online on Friday, March 17th at 8 pm via Google meet.
3. Chain Prayer on Saturday - 6.00 AM to 6.00 PM.

The Seniors Fellowship meeting was held on March 9th 2023, 10.30 am at our Church. Sincere thanks to our Roji Achen for leading the meeting and giving a meaningful message. 13.Thank you note from Sunday School
By God's Grace, the Sunday School hosted its annual March Break Retreat on Saturday, March 11th. Mr. Jason John and Mr. Justin John, from the St. Mathews Mar Thoma Church, were our speakers for the event. More than 70 students attended the retreat and participated in a host of activities including a lively, action-filled singing session led by our Achen, Kochamma and parent volunteers. We also had engaging discussions and some interactive crafts and games that were organized by the teachers. This year, our senior students took an active part as well by delivering the welcome note, vote of thanks and closing prayer.
Thanks to all those who made this event a memorable one, especially the co-ordinators Sajo George, Ancy Kochamma and Soney Mathews for leading the planning and organization of the event.

14. Thank you note from Abraham Chacko’s family
On behalf of myself, Mariamma Chacko, Cherian Abraham and family we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our Vicar, Rev. Roji Mathews Abraham and the Executive Committee of the Canadian Mar Thoma Church for their prayerful support in conducting the Visitation and Funeral Services for our beloved Abraham Chacko (Thampy) who went to be with the Lord on Mon. March 6,2023. We thank God for giving us this wonderful community of believers, whose prayer and support have been a source of strength through this difficult time.
15.Obituary
A. Our beloved parish member Mr. Abraham Chacko (Thampi,76 yrs) (14 Rovinelli Rd., Scarborough, ON M1B 4L2, Area-3) passed away at Scarborough General Hospital on Monday March 6th.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mariamma Chacko, sons' Mr. Jerry Chacko and wife Paula Chacko, Mr. Jeffy Chacko, and daughter Ms. Ginu Chacko.
He is the elder brother of our parish member Mr. Cherian Abraham (Babykutty , Area-4) and grandfather to Caleb and Priya .
The visitation and funeral services were held at our church on Friday March 10th from 5 pm- 9pm and on Saturday from 1 pm-2 pm.
Body was laid to rest at
Christ the King Catholic Cemetery,
7770 Steeles Ave. East,
Markham, ON L6B 1A8.

B. Our beloved parish member Mrs.Ludyamma Mathew (# 82 Nadine Cres., Unionville, ON L3R 7Y5, Canada - Area 4) passed away at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Tuesday, March 07th.
She is survived by her son Mr. Rubin L. Mathew and daughter-in-law Mrs. Cindy Jacob.
The funeral services will be held at our church today from 6 pm- 9 pm and tomorrow from 10 am- 12 pm.

C. Mr. M. JACOB GEORGE (77 yrs, Mathiyanchira House) passed away at Othera in Kerala yesterday (on March 11th.)
The dearly departed is the father of our member Mrs. Jaya Jacob (Area 7) and a member of the Ebenezer MTC, Othera.
Funeral is scheduled to be held tomorrow.
Let us uphold Abby Alexander and Jaya in fervent prayers for peace and consolation in bereavement.
