1.     Next Sunday, September 18th, 2022, we will have Holy Communion service in Malayalam at  

    10:00 am. We are also celebrating next Sunday as Sevika Sanghom Sunday.

2.     Sunday School Announcement


The 2022-23 Sunday School year started today at 9 AM with a common session and introductory classes. If you haven't registered your child already, please do so right away. A google form is available on the church website. 


Please note that a $20 stationery fee will apply this year. We request that all registered students pay the fee to their Sunday School teachers as soon as possible.

3.     SEVIKA SANGHOM general body Notice.

Notice is hereby given that a general body meeting of The Canadian Mar Thoma Suvishesha

Sevika Sanghom – Toronto will be held on Sunday, 18th September 2022 immediately after the

Holy Communion Service at 159 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville, ON L4A0Y2 to transact the

following business:




1. Election of Secretary

2. Any other business with the prior permission of the chair

4.     Onam Sadhya


Yuvajana Sakhyam and Young Families of our Parish are organizing an Onam Sadhya on Sunday,18th September 2022 after the Holy Communion Service at our church. The Sadhya is open to all via pre-registration.


Kindly ensure your participation by registering yourself and your family members on or before Friday 16th September 2022 @ CAD $ 18/- per person. Take away is also available.

5.     Note from The Senior’s fellowship

The senior’s fellowship meeting for this month was held in church on Thursday, September 8th at 10:30 am. We observed one minute of silence in remembrance of Mr.Zachariah M John. Thanks to all the participants. A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. I C Philip for sponsoring the Onam Sadya.

a.   Fasting prayer on Wednesday, September 14th @10:30 am virtually on Google Meet.

b.   Edavaka Mission prayer meeting on Friday, September 16th @ 8 pm virtually on Google Meet.

7.     Birth Announcement


A baby girl, ESTHER LIBIN MATHEW,is born to our Area 6 members Mr. Libin Mathai George & Mrs. Sinit Abraham  on September 6th. Both Mom and Baby are doing well.

8.      Obituary


1.             Our beloved Area-5 prayer group member Mr. Zachariah M. John (Joy) (83 yrs), passed away on September 7th at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Susan Zachariah and sons Mr. Johnson Zachariah ((Saji), wife Mrs. Annie Zachariah (Sherly), Ms. Sharon Zachariah (granddaughter)), Mr. Thomas Zachariah (Sanu) and daughter Mrs. Annie Jacob (Mr. Bobby Jacob son-in-law, Chris & Daisy (grandson & granddaughter, Dubai)).

Visitation was held on Friday, September 9th from 6 pm- 9pm and the funeral services will be held today at 1 pm at the Canadian Mar Thoma Church Toronto.

Committal Service and Burial will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9 today at 2:30 pm.


2.             Mr. N. T. George (94 yrs.), Vasant Vihar, Pullad, Thiruvalla, the maternal grandfather of our member Mrs. Jaya Jacob (w/o Mr. Abby Alexander, #38 Kenaston Gardens, Unit - GV-11, North York  - Area 7) passed away on 04th  September, 2022 in Kerala.

The funeral was held on 06th September 2022 at St. Thomas MTC, Kurianoor.


We, the CMTC family, express our heartfelt condolences and let us uphold the bereaved members in fervent prayers for peace and consolation in bereavement.
