The Inaugural function of the Canadian Mar Thoma Regional Committee took place yesterday and it was truly an honor to have our Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenosofficially inaugurate the committee. We had dignitaries, distinguished guests, directors of CMRC and members of the mar thoma churches present. It was a significant milestone in the history of the Mar Thoma Church in Canadaand it was a blessing to all those in attendance. Take this time to thank everyone who worked hard and behind the scenes especially to Shiju Mathews who coordinated food for all attendees, the tech team, the choirs and Sunday school presentation from both from the St. Mathews MTC and the Canadian MTC. Special acknowledgement to Rev. Moncy Varghese Achen from the St. Mathews MTC and our Sunil Achen for their leadership and prayerful support. Thank one and all, for their participation.
Our beloved Thirumeni’s exhortation to children yesterday, about the importance of Holy Communion was a refresher for parents who attended the session. Children received a good understanding and knowledge of what it is to be a full communicant member of the church. This morning, as a church, we would like to congratulate them and appreciate them for the stand they have taken and continue to uphold them in prayer as they walk in the faith.
