Next Sunday, May 26, 2019, Holy Communion Service in English @ 10.00 am. Please note our parish is celebrating Parish Day. 9 am to 9:45 am - Sunday school Childrens Choir will be practicing for the Parish Day celebrations in the sanctuary.

Sunday school Announcements:
Just a reminder - Regular Sunday school classes will continue to take place until the first week of June. The Sunday School Talent show competition will take place on Saturday May 25, 2019 from 9 am until 2 pm.
Vacation Bible School for our Sunday school students, this year will begin on Friday, June 28. Detailed information to follow closer to the date. Please mark your calendars. The Director for this years VBS and the main talk will be led by Rev. Abraham Kurivalla from the St Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Philadelphia.

Sunday, June 2 will be celebrated as Choir Sunday. Musical Evening will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 @ 5 pm. More details to follow, closer to the date.
Edavaka Mission Announcement:
Bible Study meeting at the church, on Friday, May 24 at 7:30 pm Also, Deadline for the Bible quiz/trivia for the month of May is closing in – it is next Sunday, May 26. Please hand in your answers to the Vicar or the Edavaka Mission Secretary.

India Mission Trip 2019:
India Mission trip to mission fields in Chennai – Bangalore Diocese will take place from August 01 to August 10, 2019. The Diocese, upon completion of the trip and submission of the receipts, will reimburse one third of the airfare. The transportation, food and accommodation in India will be arranged and cost per person will be approximately USD 250. It is a very good opportunity for the youths to be directly involved in the mission activities and to learn the importance of missions. Youths who are interested in participating are requested to give your names to Diocesan Council Member, Mr Alexander P Alexander. The last date of registration is June 15th, 2019 and the total number of participants will be ten on first come basis.
Malayalam classes will not take place today but Childrens Choir will use this time to prepare for Parish Day celebrations.
Parish Day Celebration, as announced earlier, will take place on Sunday, May 26 soon after the Holy Communion Service. A short program is being planned. Paul Calandra, member of Provincial Parliament for Markham-Stouffville will be our Chief Guest and Rev. Fr. Mathew Thomas will deliver the Parish Message. Lunch will be served for all in attendance.
Orientation Session to understand General Accounting and Admin procedures for all Executive Committee members and Office Bearers and leaders of Sub-organizations will be held on May 26, 2019 soon after the Holy Communion Service and Parish Day Celebrations. Abraham Varghese, subject expert, will lead the session.
Doors Open Whitchurch-Stouffville orientation will take place next week. As mentioned, volunteer hours will be awarded for planning days and also, for the day of the event.
Obituary: It is with deep sadness that we inform you the passing away of Mr. K. K. Oommen (86 years), Father of Mr. Thomas Oommen (Sam & Deepali), & grandfather of Priya, Riya and Rajiv. He was called to his eternal abode on May 15, 2019 in Kollam, Kerala, India. He was the member of the St Johns Mar Thoma Church, Pattathanam, Kollam, India. The funeral took place on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Sam is in India. Please uphold the bereaved family in our prayers.
FLORAL Arrangement for Sunday, May 12, 2019 was provided by one of our members. Thank you. In place of snacks, there’s Pothichoru sale in limited quantity, organized and prepared by our Sevika Sangham Sevinis. All proceeds from the sales will go to the Second Phase Construction Project. Hurry while supplies last.

2. During our Spring Cleaning event, we found your personal bibles left behind. Please make sure you take your personal belongings with you and anything that is left will be donated to a local charity.
3. Whatsapp group for the church has been created. If you wish to be added into the group, please let the Vicar or Secretary know.
4. Photo directory final updates are posted on the notice board. Please check and see if your information is correctly recorded. If there’s any discrepancies, please let the secretary know at your earliest convenience.
